My mom's name was Bert - and she often joked that if she were to open another restaurant, she'd call it "Bert's Beanery". She was a brilliant cook - in the 23 years she cooked for me, I remember only one fail.... too much salt in the first batch of cookies she'd made in over a decade....
So in her honor, here's Bert's Beanery, my blog about cooking (mostly) for my special needs daughter and how I have managed - and continue to manage - her highly unusual special diets.
